Basalt is a black stone renowned for its durability and thermal properties. With a relatively uniform chemical composition and absence of impurities, basalt stands out for its superior quality compared to limestone.

Known for its strength, basalt offers better performance than traditional white limestone. It has a higher Los Angeles (L.A.) abrasion resistance, which enhances the concrete’s strength and makes the mix more compact. This results in a stronger construction aggregate, allowing us to use less cement while achieving greater strength in our mixes.

Basalt and basalt-based materials are environmentally friendly and non-hazardous. They act as thermal insulators and buffers against acidification, are non-flammable, and do not react toxically with water or air. Additionally, basalt does not react chemically with other substances, making it safe for both human health and the environment.
